Virada became interested in the vast theme of ‘memory’ and how each and everyone of us contains the past in forms that are simultaneously subjective and objective. Communicated through one of the apparent forms of memory-collecting, she uses her spontaneous photographs juxtaposed in context to content excerpts from the The Book of Symbols, a book which is akin to a dictionary of the universal archetypal imageries within the modern world. The effect created engages the viewer to identify the dialogues between image and meaning, personal and universal, now and history. The personal memory Virada offers coincided with the universal archetypes excerpts may or may not portray the same meaning, the viewers as the third party will question the unapparent threshold that holds this photobook together.

แพม วิรดา สนใจในประเด็นของ ‘ความทรงจำ’ และการที่แต่ละบุคคลเก็บรวบรวมอดีตในรูปแบบที่ทั้งเป็นนามธรรม และรูปธรรม วิรดาสื่อสารการเก็บสะสมความทรงจำออกมาผ่านฟอร์มที่มองเห็นได้อย่างภาพถ่าย ที่ศิลปินถ่ายโดยไม่ได้วางแผนมาก่อน ภาพถ่ายเหล่านี้ถูกวางคู่กับบริบทที่เป็นเนื้อหาที่ดึงออกมาจาก The Book of Symbols หนังสือที่เป็นเหมือนกับพจนานุกรมของต้นแบบภาพของโลกในยุคโมเดิร์น ผลก็คือการเกิดขึ้นของปฏิสัมพันธ์ของผู้ชม ในการจำแนกบทสนทนาระหว่างภาพและความหมาย เรื่องส่วนตัวกับเรื่องส่วนรวม ปัจจุบันและประวัติศาสตร์ ความทรงจำส่วนบุคคลของวิรดา นำเสนอความบังเอิญที่ตรงกับต้นแบบที่เป็นสากลของภาพจาก The Book of Symbols ซึ่งอาจจะแสดงให้เห็นถึงความหมายเดียวกันหรือต่างกัน ผู้ชมในฐานะบุคคลที่ 3 จะตั้งคำถามกับรอยต่อที่ไม่ชัดเจนที่ร้อยเรียงหนังสือภาพเล่มนี้เข้าไว้ด้วยกัน
