The latest issue in the publications’ 20-year history looks at the innately human desire to create systems and how artists across the world interpret this subject. As it’s inevitable that we’ll deal with different types of systems throughout our lives, issue number 18 focuses on precisely this. Many artists create their own systems and methods; setting up rules for creating their art, sorting their materials, following specific schedules, creating new worlds. In a way, such structures provide us with a framework for stretching the possibilities of our creative freedom.
Founded in 1999 by artist Björn Hegardt, FUKT, which translates to “moist” or “damp” in Norwegian and Swedish, is a Berlin-based annual magazine for contemporary drawing. Each issue comes with a unique cover by Ariane Spanier who also co-edits and designs the magazine. From issue 16 onwards, the FUKT team began organising each edition thematically: from The Sex Issue on Dirty Drawings to The Words Issue and Fukt The System Issue.

นิตยสาร FUKT ก่อต้ังขึ้นในปี 2542 โดยศิลปิน ยอน เฮียร์กัท ชื่อนิตยสารนี้ในภาษานอร์วีเจียนและสวีดิชแปลออกมาได้ว่า‘เปียกชื้น’ หรือ ‘เปียกหมาด’ FUKT คือนิตยสารรายปีที่มีถิ่นฐานอยู่ที่เบอร์ลิน โดยมีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับภาพวาดลายเส้นร่วมสมัย แต่ละฉบับที่พิมพ์ออกมานั้นจะมีหน้าปกที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ของตัวเอง สร้างสรรค์โดย อารีแอนน์ สแปนเนอร์ ซึ่งเป็นทั้งบรรณาธิการร่วมและผู้ออกแบบ ตั้งแต่ฉบับที่ 16 เป็นต้นมา ทีมงานได้เริ่มต้นจัดการให้แต่ละเล่มมีหัวข้อเรื่องเป็นของตัวเองตั้งแต่ ‘ว่าด้วยเซ็กส์ (The Sex Issue)’ ที่เกี่ยวกับภาพวาดหยาบโลนไปจนถึง ‘ว่าด้วยคำ (The Words Issue)’ และ ‘ว่าด้วยระบบ (The System Issue)’
