Bangkok-born, New York-based artist Korakrit Arunanondchai probes the thresholds of birth, decreation, and death through his video, painting, and installation works. The publication “Songs for Living/ Songs for Dying” spans a decade of materials from the artist’s video series, “Painting with History…”. Starting with the video “2012-2555” (2012) and ending with “Songs for Living” (2021), featuring essays written by Chrissie Iles, May Adadol Ingawanij alongside conversations between Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Korakrit Arunanondchai and Mark Peranson, and a conversation between Korakrit Arunanondchai, Heike Munder and Bettina Steinbrügge.
